Ferrari created a near perfect street-legal track weapon when it unveiled the F430 Scuderia, a stripped down, powered up version of the F430 in the latter half of 2007. So when a tuner like Novitec Rosso turns its attention to a vehicle like this, the end result had better be good.
The Prancing Horse’s stable did pretty much all there was to be done to keep the weight down, so the Stetten-based customiser focused on re-fettling the 4,3-litre V8 that lies at the heart of the car. Thanks to a twin supercharger system, new engine management system, bigger injectors and new air filters, the slim Italian stallionnow boasts a 535 kW powerplant, enough to propel it to a top speed of 348 km/h. Acceleration figures are understandably impressive; zero to 100 km/h in 3,5 seconds, 200 km/h in 10,1 seconds and 300 km/h in 26,1 seconds.
Unlike the tasteless creations some aftermarket firms are responsible for, the Novitec Rosso F430 features a decent ensemble of cosmetics, including new leather and carbon fibre trim on the redesigned steering wheel, shift paddles and the rest of the interior, while the only noticeable exterior additions include new yellow-on-black wheels, “smoked” taillights and the compulsory Novitec Rosso badging.
