The Mazda Kiyora is the latest Nagare ‘flow’ concept, and previews an all-new Mazda city car that could be in production as early as 2010 if public reaction is positive enough. The Kiyora will be revealed at the Paris motor show and continues Mazda’s latest vision of ‘Sustainable Zoom-Zoom’.

Mazda Kiyora eh? What does that mean?
Clean and pure, apparently. ‘The harmony between driving pleasure and environmental and safety features.’ Which means an all-new lightweight platform to help CO2 and mpg figures, without compromising the safety of the Kiyora.

For your driving pleasure the Kiyora has a next-generation 1.3-litre direct-injection petrol engine, mated to an automatic gearbox and Mazda’s new Smart Idle Stop System. That’s stop-start to you and me.

Anything else?
Mazda claims the Nagare design means very efficient aerodynamics, while inside the design and technology are claimed to ‘support a youthful lifestyle’.
Alongside the Kiyora Mazda will also unveil the facelifted MX-5 at Paris, plus a Mazda 6 with the firm’s new 2.2-litre diesel and a 1.6-litre diesel 2.
